Throughout the entire process so far, Sarr continues to stay at the top of the board for me, as he stands out above the rest. Great size and length which is obviously key for his position, but his quickness and athleticism stand out. Elite defender and rim protector, able to switch on everything and has great recovery speed. Finishes around the rim at a high level, could still work on finishing stronger but his size will give him an advantage. Has worked and improved on his shooting, can stretch the floor with his mid-range game being his go to. Sarr should be the best player taken in this class.

I was a fan of Risacher before the draft process, but as his pro season has come along (despite a cold end to the year), I am even more of a fan. Amazing spot up shooter, quick release on his shot very similar to a Kuzma or MPJ is like. His size and length give him an advantage on his shot and as well as scoring off the dribble. That was a big question for him but he has made a ton of strides, finishing explosively around the rim. Awesome help side defender with great positioning, finding himself in the right spot every time it seems. Still a project player needing to become more consistent on both ends of the floor and proving he is a threat offensively outside of catch and shoot. Good chance he could go first overall on draft night.

While everyone hopped off the Castle hype post-return from injury this season, I continued to ride high with him. It has paid off big time. For his size, you would not think he plays the way he does. Excellent finisher around the rim, naturally strong and finishes with strength. Very athletic, shows it off and loves to use the dunker's spot to create opportunities. Intense and scrappy defender who is not afraid to battle with guys bigger than him. Needs to work on his consistency as a shooter, despite a clean form, as well as his ball handle in traffic. Can play 1-3 with his great court vision. Absolute menace on the court and could end up being one of the better players in the class.

The number one overall recruit in the 2023 class opted to go the pro route and unfortunately, it didn't work out as planned. Missing the second half due to a thumb injury, Holland had a ton of promise after his great month of January. His ability to score off the dribble and create shots for himself is his most promising asset. I think he can be most dominant off the ball as a wing rather than his previous on ball role. His help defense IQ is his defensive strong suit, where he racks up a ton of steals on the help side and jumping lanes. Needs to improve mightily on his three point shooting, as well as his sometimes loose and careless dribbling where he can be very turnover prone. A project pick that if put with the right team, he can develop into what he truly is as a player.

Clingan has done a ton of dancing on my board, but ultimately he will end up within the top 7 players for me. Outstanding defender, brings an impact on that end of the floor that not many others in this class can, especially at his size. Great in drop coverage with surprisingly good feet on defense. Not going to wow you at all with his mobility or athleticism, but his size and presence should be enough, despite needing to work on his quickness. Finishing around the rim improved as the season went on, but will need to work on finishing stronger. Surprisingly good passer when needed. He can jump around on draft day and could go as high as 3 possibly.

Sheppard has taken off on boards with his excellent play his freshman year at Kentucky. A prolific scorer and scrappy defender, Sheppard can be viewed in multiple roles on a NBA roster. One of the best three point shooters in the country with a smooth stroke and release. Scrappy defender with great hands, and isn't afraid to gamble while recovering well and staying in front. His playmaking and creation for others has gotten better as the season progressed but still could be improved. His gambles defensively can be an issue at times and will need to adjust to NBA impact. Will be an impact shooter immediately for any team in the league.

One of the older players in this class, Knecht was able to win SEC Player of the Year in his first year at Tennessee. Fantastic scorer all around, high release point is intriguing to see how well it works at the next level. Super athletic as well with the ability to finish around the rim at such a high level. His defense is left to be desired, based on his body type and athleticism, which will cost him at the next level. Playmaking showed flashes but also needs improvement. Knecht is most likely to be an off the ball scorer primarily at the next level, and a player that these boarderline playoff teams in the lottery need to snag.

Despite not having the chance to show out in the NCAA Tournament, Rob Dillingham remains one of the top guys off the board for me in the draft. His ability to create his own shot, as well as his quickness with the ball in his hands, makes him stand out amongst the rest of the guards in this class. Efficient shooter from all levels with smooth form. Creates well for others based on his handling ability. Lacks defense mainly because of his size but a team won't be taking him for that. Will need to work on finishing around the rim consistently but already showed strides down the stretch. His ability to go get a bucket is something that makes him unique and relates to a ton of guards from Kentucky. Dillingham should go top 4 undoubtedly.

The Nikola Topic hype train is going ahead full speed down the tracks. The best overall playmaker in this class with an incredible eye for shooters on the court. His ability to work pick and rolls as a passer and finisher will make him very appealing for any team. Topic's shot was his biggest question mark and his form is still a little funky, but he has proven to be good enough to be viewed as a threat. Defense isn't his main strong suit, as he is slower on his feet defensively despite being quicker with the ball in his hands. The biggest improvement for Topic will be his shooting and finding a consistent form with more arc that will translate, but you're looking at a guy who will go high and be an impact for a team immediately. Unfortunately, Topic suffered a torn ACL, so that could impact his rankings here and on draft night.

High upside player here in Williams, who had to deal with an injury mid season, which caused him to miss all of December. Williams has shown a ton of flashes on both sides of the ball but there hasn't been a complete product just yet, although I think there can be. Offensively, he runs out in transition very well with a great ability to finish around the rim with his athleticism. Defensively, he isn't the worst ever, but being lengthy and athletic allows him to jump lanes and recover well if falling away from ball handlers. He needs to develop a more consistent shooting ability, the form is there (think Brandon Miller), but he needs to find the confidence with his shot. He also tends to have times where he becomes forgettable on the court, but his shooting development can change that easily. High risk-high reward pick here but I like the prospect a ton.

I was a big fan of Walter before the season started, and he showed a ton of bright spots, as well as some questions. Offensively, there isn't much to worry about, as he will profile as one of the better overall shooters in the draft despite what his percentages might say. Form is clean on catch and shoot situations, as well as movement threes. His finishing around the rim isn't horrible as well, and there is a ton of promise for him to create shots for himself, but he will need to develop a tighter handle. Defensively, everyone is in love with him as a lockdown defender, and he is very aggressive as one. Unfortunately he finds himself getting beat moving laterally and loses the battle in the end. I like Walter a ton still and think he can profile as 3&D, but will need to develop into his own body to fill his potential.

McCain has been one of the more popular prospects through his popularity online for years now. He has turned himself into one of the top prospects in this class, following his freshman season at Duke. McCain profiles as a sharpshooter, with the ability to score at all three levels. His confidence in his shot makes him stand out, and I am a big fan of his mid-range ability. His scoring around the rim is limited due to his size, but he is stronger than expected and finishes well (loves to use hop step to get positioning). Won't be primary ball handler most likely (based on seeing his role at Duke), but isn't disastrous on ball. Defensively. I think he can be better than already expected, mainly due to his natural strength. Smart kid who knows where to be. Big fan of McCain, who might rise up more by Draft Day.

A year ago, nobody thought Devin Carter would be in the position that he is in right now. Carter went into the offseason with the mindset of wanting to be a threat from three, and he did just that this season at Providence. The shot form is an odd one but it seems to be effective for him as he has figured it out. He can finish well at the rim when he is under control. Do not expect him to be a primary ball handler. His play style reminds me a ton of Marcus Smart with his height compared to the toughness and grit he plays with. Excelling as a rebounder for his position, that makes him stand out in this class. As a defender, he is tough to get by and navigates screens very well. Carter will be one to excel at the combine and a contending team could take a shot late on him.

I really like Kel'el Ware in this draft after transferring from Oregon after a disappointing first year. You're getting a great center with Ware here, a guy who will dominate the glass and shot block at a decent level. Will be thrown into every PnR unfortunately. Offensively, he is good at being the roller on screens, as well as clearing out defenders to create space for himself. Can stretch the floor at times and is efficient when doing so, but won't take too high of a volume from out there. A little slower and sluggish at times, will seem to be disinterested at times, which leads to his inefficiencies finishing. Was in the 20's originally, now working his way up to lottery range for me.

I'm so torn on how to feel about Buzelis right now as we head into the pre-draft process. I see the vision with the guy as a stretch four, but his inefficiencies throughout the year have left it in question. Matas has really shined finishing around the rim, which has been the most impressive part of his offensive game. Shot form is clean and release point with his length is high. Defensively, he is a fantastic shot blocker with his length and timing. His lack of ball handling ability at times with the tendency to get careless when frustrated is something to be worried about. A big boom or bust pick for this draft, he will go higher than I have him, but there are concerns with him, as well as a ton to like.

Another guy who at the start of the season, was poised to be a top pick in this draft, but has fallen a bit due to his inconsistent play, as well as injuries. A ton of flashes were shown with Collier, with his ability to get to the basket and finish being his strong suit. Gets to the line a lot with his explosiveness and aggression; not going to shoot much from three so will need to develop that. Great playmaker who can be turnover prone, but is an awesome passer nonetheless. Defense is not going to be Collier's game at all, despite his ability to get steals off the ball. Needs to stay focused on that end to be productive. Collier will rise more after his combine tests finish and he can make an impact immediately I believe.

Two-way player, has real potential offensively with more work. Salaun is definitely defense first, uses his length to disrupt passing lanes and anger ball handlers. Offensively he hasn't fully unlocked the player he can be. Not going to jump out of the gym, but shows the ability to finish around the rim. Shoots it decently well, form isn't terrible, with a high arc in his shot. Will definitely need to speed it up to work at the next level. Needs to stay out of foul trouble so he can show off more on the court. Think he will be similar to Bilal Coulibaly and teams' stance on him last draft.Â

One of the overall most interesting freshman that entered the draft after his first year. Carrington is a spark plug type of player who will score at will. Not the most efficient scorer to ever play, but when he is on, he is hard to stop. Also shows really good production as a passer, setting up his teammates, with a great AST/TO ratio. Rebounds really well for his position and size. Don't expect him to be too much of a force defensively mainly due to his lack of athleticism on that end compared to the offensive side. This has Cam Thomas of the Brooklyn Nets written all over it in Carrington. Will need to develop into his body before we figure out what player he really is.

Filipowski's draft stock will be based solely on how he can develop his body leading up to draft time and how he can test at the combine. A stretch big who is a willing shooter at a good clip with good mechanics. Very skilled with the ball in his hands for his size which makes him even more intriguing as a prospect, as well as a candidate to rise. Defensively he is very solid and a good rim protector. He isn't the worst when thrown into a PnR situation, mainly due to his light body frame = quicker feet. He will need to get bigger and stronger to body up the other bigs in the NBA. Filipowski also will need to work on his aggression as a rebounder, as he will struggle against other bigs his size immediately. Great value at this point in the draft.

da Silva has been someone that scouts and "experts" have loved down the stretch of the season at Colorado. A 3/4 hybrid player who can stretch the floor very well, shooting 39.5% from beyond the arc. Pushes out in transition well and can do so with the ball in his hands. Moves off the ball well, but finishing can be a struggle unless its a dunk. Knack for the ball defensively, finds himself in the right spots, turns defense into offense. Not going to be able to guard the top guys, based on his college tape, but isn't horrible if switched on. Needs to improve overall on his quickness, at times it looks like he's going through motions. da Silva is going to be one of those later picks that works out and plays immediately for a playoff team.

Terrence Shannon has now pleaded not guilty to his trial and is clean of his charges that were previously accused of him. This now causes the massive jump for him in the rankings. On the court, he is an outstanding scorer with a good lefty form. His strong suit is getting downhill and finishing at the rim. Gets to the line a ton as well. Not going to be a defender at all at the next level based on his footwork. Could be a better playmaker as well, as at times, he gets tunnel vision with the ball. He's also the oldest in this class, so that can add on top of the other driveaway points.

I know what you're already thinking about Edey; How is he possibly a first rounder? Well, he took criticism this offseason and worked to get better. Obviously his strongest suit is being 7'4, and coming along with that is immediate rebounding and rim protection. But Edey has worked more on his footwork and he looks much more coordinated than the past few years. The big questions will be how will he be able to battle with other bigs in the NBA, along with his cardio at a much faster paced game with ELITE athletes. Only time will tell on who he will be as a pro player, but a 2-time National Player of the Year will surely go in the first round.

Out of the G-League Ignite players, Smith is probably my favorite from the group. Tall, lengthy wing that splits between the 3/4 and can play the 5 in a really small ball lineup, rings a ton of offense. Smooth shot form from the left side and moves well off the ball to get open. Great finisher who attacks mismatches well and will finish through traffic. Uses his length defensively to be a solid shot blocker, and off of the ball deflects passes in lanes. Struggles mightily staying in front of defenders and has slow reactions in PnR drop coverage. Needs to improve a ton defensively but he has a chance to. I think he's ranked too low overall on national boards, so I will show him love here.

I wanted to see how Missi would play down the stretch to evaluate who he would be, and he didn't disappoint much. Missi is your prototypical, PnR big man who can finish above the rim in lob situations. Put-backs are his main thing on the glass and works especially well on the offensive glass overall. Quick feet for a bigger guy and his length is a disruption to any driver into the paint. Can't shoot at all, so don't expect anything from him there. Tends to disappear at times overall, especially on the glass, which will be the thing that holds him down on teams' boards. I like him overall as a prospect with there being a small revival of the old school big being needed.

Was one of the best college players this past year gaining second-team All American honors. Holmes back to the basket game is one of the best in this class finishing with both strength and finesse around the rim. Can stretch the floor as well and is very efficient from there. Crashes the glass at such a high rate defensively and can work well in DHO's. Defensively, he is a bit quicker so he can keep up with more athletic 4's. He is a bit on the older side, but that only plays into his experience more. Can be turnover prone if he holds the ball for too long. Also can find himself getting tunnel vision as well due to his number one option status. Will help immediately to any team.

Jaylon Tyson wasn't a guy on my bingo card to jump up this high, but the more I watch, the more I think he can be a steal in this draft. Offensive threat as a great shooter from any range, as well as great in isolation. Great with the ball in his hands, great playmaker with his court vision and touch on passes, will look even better with pro players. Not the most explosive guy off the dribble but uses strength to finish around the rim and shed defenders. Will not be relied on defensively at all, not sure if he will be a good defender but has the body frame to be serviceable. A bucket getter that any team in this range would want and with his skill-set, it's worth taking a shot.

George was one of the surprising combine guys and showed off his excellent shooting as he did during his freshman season at Miami. Although things didn't go to his full expectation there, he was able to show off the shooting combined with his ability to be a great passer off of the dribble, especially in PnR lob situations. Shows flashes of being a great help side defender, jumping lanes, trapping off screens, and switched on blocks. He has a slower start up to his shot motion at times, so that will bee something that needs to be tweaked. Teams are going to love George's combination of draft age and shooting ability, which will get him taken on night one.

Having an outstanding collegiate career spanning between his time and Texas Tech and now Kansas, McCullar is very similar to former Jayhawk forward, Ochai Agbaji. Scorer at all levels and isn't afraid to take the big shot in big moments. His on ball defense is amazing and his size allows him to guard 1-3 and sometimes 4. Can create for others off the dribble and in PnR situations. Only downside is he can be a bit turnover prone, but I'd expect him to play off the ball in the NBA. Love what McCullar could bring to a playoff level squad at the next level.

I've been a fan of Dillon Jones for a while and his emergence during this draft process has been one that now all draft scouts can see. Showed his overall skill of scoring this season at Weber State averaging about 21 points per game. Gets to his spots really easily, mid-range and finishing around the rim are his biggest strong suits. Three point ability will need to come along, but it is more of a comfortability thing it seems over ability. Defensively, he is great, super shifty with his feet and has good size to where he can switch when needed. I think Jones is under the radar and can be a role player on a team day one.

Klintman re-enters the draft process after his wild past year at college then transitional to the NBL. He might not have stood out as a player overall with his production, but the prospect of who Bobi can turn out to be. His shooting ability makes him the most intriguing with his high release point and overall smooth form for his size. He moves off the ball really well and can finish around the rim with his athleticism. Needs to improve on creating shots for himself and overall efficiency. Defensively, there's a ton of promise with his size and length, but he needs to finish the play as he gives up at times. His shot blocking and rebounding will get him minutes immediately. Interesting to watch as he goes through the combine.
